Da Brat and her wife Jesseca ‘Judy’ Dupart are basking in the joy that their newborn has brought them.
The rapper gave birth to the couple’s son 1 month ago and now they’re giving the world its first glimpse of the youngster – whose name they previously announced is True Legend.

Speaking to PEOPLE about her pregnancy, Da Brat tearfully said:
“I’m 49, I’m high-risk, I have high blood pressure. So many women so much younger than me want kids and can’t have them, and I had a successful pregnancy. It’s just an honor. He’s such a blessing.”
Opening up about her relationship with Dupart, the rapper added:
“I was stuck in the closet for so many years, I thought I would never come out, but I met somebody that gave me the courage to live in my own truth. Now I’m happily married.
I think God plans out our journey. I’m very happy He saw fit for me to have him.”
On giving birth, Da Brat – who carried an embryo comprised of Dupart’s egg and donor sperm – shared that she has a scheduled C-section and didn’t experience any contraction pain beyond the epidural she received.
She added with a laugh:
“I never want to do that again, but for him it was worth it.”
